‘Trust me bro': Pawsitive cat memes more whimsical than a cat's meowgical whiskers

Do cats make us happy? 

The short answer is yes. Coming from the collective hive mind of kitty cat scientists down here at the I Can Has Headquarters (a very real job, I assure you), cats are the #1 source of serotonin, forearm scratches, and excellent furball pillows. If a cat lover is lucky enough to spend even a few minutes with their beloved feline every day, their mood is exponentially increased. The more time spent with a cat, the more time being happy. There's no denying that logic, right? 

Pawsitivity is deeply ingrained in a cat's DNA.

It's carved on the walls of cathood history, embedded in the minds of the single-braincelled orange felines, and even hosts the charmingly mischievous purrsonalities of every cat. Deep down, all cats know that they have a special, uplifting effect on humankind, so they like to exploit that power whenever they see fit. 

Wielding their pawsitive goodness like a well-brandished longsword, cats will meow and cry and beckon for more kibbles, and they rightfully so will have earned a third serving of dinner. They may knock over the potted plants during their 2 AM zoomies and they may scratch up the corners of your favorite new couch, but ultimately, adding a cat to your life means subtracting a fair amount of sadness. Little do cat lovers know, the meowjority of feline dismay comes from feelings of delusion, not reality. So the next time you're feeling frustrated with your cat, look them in the eye, kiss their forehead, and hypnotize yourself into thinking this little goblin is good for you. Odds are, that's the truth. 

So while the ICHHQ scientists are hard at work in the labs under the building, we can hear the adorable mews and purrs of some of the happiest cats in the world. Truly, it takes no amount of observation to reconcile with the obvious nature of a cat's happiness. Because when a cat curls up in your lap and falls asleep purring to the touch of your palm, there's no better feeling in the world. The human mind was made for moments like these, and cats have cracked the code on their everlasting camaraderie with us as a species through this joyful vibe.
